El trabajo por proyectos en los ciclos formativos del IES El Palo.

La formación profesional no se concibe sin una metodología activa y participativa que permita al alumnado desarrollar todas sus competencias profesionales, sociales y personales en aras de su integración laboral y su crecimiento personal. Por ello nos esforzamos continuamente en enseñar a hacer, enseñar a tomar decisiones y enseñar a trabajar en equipo, de manera responsable y autónoma, y una de las mejores metodologías para alcanzar esas metas es el llamado “Trabajo por Proyectos”.

Nuestra apuesta por esta metodología hizo que nos sumáramos a un Proyecto Erasmus + promovido por la institución italiana: Ente Nazionale Canossiano, con sede principal en Verona, denominado: “EU gives you WINGS: towards European Work based learning experiences”.

Al amparo de dicho proyecto, 4 expertos italianos en formación profesional vinieron a visitar el IES El Palo para conocer algunos de los proyectos realizados por el alumnado y profesorado de ciclos formativos.

Durante 3 días, nuestros colegas conocieron a fondo el sistema educativo español y pudieron comprobar cómo los departamentos de imagen personal y de FOL trabajan por proyectos en todos los niveles educativos y de manera transversal, con los siguientes objetivos:

1- Incorporar de las nuevas tecnologías y la gamificación para aumentar la motivación.

2- Mejorar la concienciación hacia la sostenibilidad de los servicios de peluquería y estética.

3- Aumentar la autoestima y las habilidades comunicativas.

Los proyectos presentados a los expertos italianos fueron los siguientes:

• “Future Skills and sustainable development in the Green Salons”, proyecto europeo de tres años de duración cuyo objetivo es investigar y desarrollar distintos materiales educativos que ayuden a profesorado y alumnado a mejorar la protección de la seguridad y medio ambiente en el sector.

• “Green Cosmetics”. Proyecto realizado por alumnado de grado medio de estética, de dos años de duración, consistente en desarrollar todo el proceso para la creación de cosméticos naturales y ecológicos: preparación del terreno y planificación del invernadero, selección de plantas con indicación de sus propiedades, plantación de las mismas, recolección, secado, extracción de los aceites esenciales, preparación de las fichas técnicas, elaboración de los cosméticos y venta de los mismos.

• “Jugamos mientras aprendemos”. El Departamento de FOL promueve la creación de un Trivial por parte del alumnado de ciclos formativos sobre contenidos de Formación y Orientación Laboral. De la misma manera y para repasar las Unidades Didácticas, utiliza en clase el juego “on line” FOLPlanet.

• “Realización del estudio corporal, de color y del estilo en vestuario y complementos”. El alumnado de 1º de grado superior de Asesoría de Imagen Personal en el módulo de estilismo en el vestir, realiza a lo largo de todo el curso un estudio del cliente a partir de su estudio antropométrico y, conforme a sus necesidades, determina los cambios que se puedan realizar en la figura a través de la indumentaria.

• “Elaboración de la ficha técnica del cliente” por parte de los alumnos de 1º de FPB de peluquería y estética. Tras la elaboración de una ficha técnica, la deben cumplimentar y elaborar el protocolo de atención al cliente con la posterior ejecución del trabajo técnico como auxiliar.

Nuestros colegas aprovecharon para conocer cómo trabajamos la formación en centros de trabajo con algunas de nuestras empresas colaboradoras, y reforzamos el mutuo compromiso para seguir colaborando en proyectos europeos futuros. En este sentido, una de nuestras alumnas va a realizar las prácticas en las instalaciones del Centro de Moda Canosa (Trento).

Work Based Learning at IES El Palo

Vocational training is not conceived without an active and participative methodology that allows students to develop all their professional, social and personal competences for the sake of their labor integration and personal growth. For this reason, we continually strive to teach our students to “know how”, to make decisions and to team working in a responsible and autonomous way, and one of the best methodologies to achieve these goals is “Work Based learning”.

Our commitment to this methodology led us to join an Erasmus + Project sponsored by the Italian institution: Ente Nazionale Canossiano, based in Verona, called «EU gives you WINGS: towards European Work based learning experiences».

Under the auspices of this project, 4 Italian experts in vocational training came to visit the IES El Palo to learn about some of the projects carried out by students and teachers of training cycles.

For 3 days, our colleagues got to know the Spanish educational system thoroughly and were able to verify how our departments of Labour Training and Guidance (FOL) and Personal Image work for projects at all educational levels and in a transversal way, with the following objectives:

1- Incorporate new technologies and gamification to increase motivation.

2- Improve awareness of the sustainability of hairdressing and aesthetic services.

3- Increase self-esteem and communicative skills.

The projects presented to the Italian experts were as follows:

• «Future Skills and Sustainable Development in the Green Salons», a three-year European project whose objective is to research and develop different educational materials for helping teachers and students to improve safety and environmental protection in the sector. In addition this project seeks to increase the awareness of professionals about sustainability and to offer them different tools to do it.

• «Green Cosmetics». Project of two years of duration realized by students of intermediate degree of aesthetics, consisting in developing the whole process for the creation of natural and ecological cosmetics: preparation of the area and planning of the greenhouse, selection of plants with indication of it properties, plantation, compilation, drying, extraction of the essential oils, production of the cosmetics and sale of the same ones.

• «We play while we learn». The Department of FOL promotes the creation of a Trivial by the students of training cycles on the contents of labor law. In the same way and to review the Didactic Units, we use in class the «online» game: FOLPlanet.

• «Study of body, color and style in costumes and complements». Students of first year degree of Personal Image Counseling, in the module of dress styling, carry out throughout the course a study of the client from his anthropometric shape and, according to his/her needs, determine the changes that could be realized in the figure through the clothing.

• «Elaboration of the client’s technical file» on the part of the 1st FPB students of hairdressing and aesthetics. After the elaboration of a technical file, they must complete it and elaborate the protocol of attention to the client with the subsequent execution of the technical work as auxiliary.

Our colleagues took the opportunity to learn how we work in our Institution with some of our partner companies, and we reinforce our mutual commitment to continue collaborating on future Erasmus projects. In this sense, one of our students is going to carry out a 3 months internship in the facilities of the Canossa Fashion Center (Trento).
